About CAMS

The Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) is an evidence-based framework that treats suicidal thoughts with empathy, honesty, and collaboration. Together, we'll identify what's making life feel unbearable—the "drivers" of your suicidal thoughts—and develop a personalized treatment plan focused on building a life worth living.

CAMS is backed by 40+ years of research and is recognized by the CDC, Joint Commission, and the U.S. Surgeon General as a highly effective approach to suicide-focused care.

Beyond Survival: Building a Life Worth Living

Approach

A Different Kind of Therapy

The suicidal thoughts you're experiencing aren't who you are. They're a response to pain that feels unbearable. In our work together, we'll separate you from the problem so you can see yourself more clearly.

Drawing from narrative therapy (Michael White) and the humanistic principles of Virginia Satir, I approach CAMS with deep respect for your inherent worth and wisdom. You're not broken. You're a whole person navigating impossible circumstances, and you already possess strengths that have kept you alive this long.

We'll sit side-by-side—literally and figuratively—using the CAMS framework to:

  • Name and externalize the pain

  • Identify what's driving your suicidal thoughts

  • Uncover the times you've coped differently

  • Recognize your agency in authoring what comes next

  • Build a stabilization plan that honors your complexity

This isn't about fixing you. It's about helping you reconnect with your own congruence, reclaim your voice, and write a story that feels worth living into.

ABOUT ME

I believe that life's darkest moments deserve more than crisis management—they require genuine presence, radical honesty, and collaborative exploration of what makes life feel unbearable. Drawing on Narrative Therapy and Satir-inspired lenses, my passion lies in creating a space where suicidal thoughts can be discussed openly, where we work together to understand the drivers of your pain and the stories that have shaped it, and where healing happens through authentic connection rather than prescribed solutions.

MY COMMITMENT

This work is highly attuned to what matters most to you—the reasons suicide has become an option worth considering. I avoid superficial safety planning by focusing on experiential transformation that addresses the root causes of your suffering. CAMS isn't about managing you; it's about collaborating with you to re-author your relationship with pain and build a life that feels genuinely worth living—not just surviving, but thriving on your terms.
